Auxiliary

Emerson Hospital Auxiliary logo
Over the past decade, the Auxiliary has helped raise over $1.5 million for hospital equipment, facilities and services.

Making our mission possible.

Founded in 1924, the Emerson Hospital Auxiliary is committed to supporting Emerson’s mission of providing the highest quality medical services in a warm, personalized setting. Auxiliary members proudly serve as ambassadors between the hospital and the community.

How we make a difference.

Auxiliary members work hard to promote Emerson Hospital through increased community awareness, health-related education and vital fundraising initiatives. We organize large and small events, hold lectures and seminars, coordinate concerts, make crafts and write articles, among many other activities.

How we work with the community.

The Auxiliary increases community awareness of hospital services through local events, newsletters, media announcements and communications with friends, neighbors and colleagues. We aim to be the voice of the communities served by Emerson and always welcome new ideas for involvement.

How we make it all happen.

Annual fundraising events sponsored by the Auxiliary include the Emerson Hospital Golf Tournament, Concord Pops Concert, Emerson 5k Run-Walk for Cancer, Reflections in Bloom Art and Flower Show. The Auxiliary’s hugely successful cookbook, Revolutionary Recipes, has become a local bestseller and has contributed significantly to fundraising efforts. Email auxiliary@emersonhosp.org for a copy.

Recent Auxiliary contributions have allowed Emerson to:

  • Build a new waiting room for oncology patients and families
  • Purchase equipment for the breast stereotactic exam room
  • Start a fund for cancer patients
  • Start a scholarship for frontline caregivers
  • Renovate Special Care Units
