Emerson Hospital Auxiliary hosts spring coffee

(CONCORD, Mass., April 11, 2008)--The Emerson Hospital Auxiliary will host its annual spring social on Monday, April 28, 2008, at 9:30 am. All current members and anyone interested in joining the Auxiliary—or just learning about it—are invited to attend. Christine Schuster, president and CEO of Emerson Hospital, will be the guest speaker. “It’s spring—a time to get together, socialize, connect with old friends and meet some new ones,” said Denise Haartz, Emerson Hospital Auxiliary president. “This event will provide a great opportunity for everyone to hear about the important projects that the Auxiliary supports, including the Bethke Cancer Center, the pediatric intervention team, scholarships for caregivers, and specialized wheelchairs.”

The Emerson Hospital Auxiliary supports community awareness and fundraising activities throughout the year, including the golf tournament, Pops concert, Tree of Lights, and the “Reflections in Bloom” art show at Powers Gallery. “It’s a great way to support your community hospital while meeting people and having fun at the same time,” said Haartz.

The spring social will be held at the home of Rosemary Grande, located at 132 Partridge Lane in Concord. To RSVP, call Karen McCarthy at 978-371-2133.
