Groton Medical Practice Established and Accepting New Patients
(CONCORD, Mass., December 14, 2005) – Groton physicians Dorothy Christiansen, MD, Thomas Goodman, MD, and William Heinser, MD, established a new medical practice, Groton Medical Associates, which is located on the second floor of the Health Center at 100 Boston Road in Groton.
Groton Medical Associates specializes in adult internal medicine, including preventative care. Medical services are complemented by the full medical and surgical resources of Emerson Hospital, including the Bethke Cancer Center and the Birthing Center.
Dr. Christiansen began working at Emerson Hospital in 2000. She is board-certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. She attended Tufts University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Presbyterian-University Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. in 1990 and her fellowship (in rheumatology) at Presbyterian-University Hospital in 1992.
Dr. Goodman began working at Emerson Hospital in 2000. He is board-certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. He attended the University of Texas and completed his residency at New England Deaconess Hospital in 1992 and his fellowship (in arthritis and clinical immunology and allergy) at Massachusetts General Hospital in 1995.
Dr. Heinser began working at Emerson Hospital in 2002. He is board-certified in internal medicine. He attended the University of Massachusetts Medical School and completed his residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in 2002.
