Pediatrics West to offer series of free classes for expectant moms
(CONCORD, Mass., April 22, 2008)--Pediatrics West, which has offices at the Emerson Health Centers in Westford and Groton, will offer a series of four free classes for expectant moms. Classes will be held on-site at Emerson Hospital on May 2, 9, 16, and 30, from 6:00-7:30 pm in the North Assembly Room. The classes are taught by a Pediatrics West nurse and mother of four.
Topics covered in the classes include newborn appearance (dry skin, sneezing, constipation), baby care basics (diapering, dressing, sleep positioning, feeding, car seat safety), at home safety (review of medications, herbal supplements/homeopathic remedies, nose suctioning, over-the-counter cough medications), and visits with the pediatrician (vaccine schedule).
Pediatrics West is located at 133 Littleton Road in Westford and at 100 Boston Post Road (Suite F) in Groton. Both offices have X-ray facilities, and the Westford office offers laboratory, physical therapy, ultrasound, MRI and CT scans. The Westford office also has pediatric specialists, including clinics for asthma, attention deficit disorder, warts, allergies, sports medicine and cardiology, and acne.
