Emerson Hospital 5K Run-Walk for Cancer draws record crowds
(CONCORD, Mass., July 5, 2006)--The relentless June rain finally stopped and the skies cleared for Emerson’s annual
Run-Walk for Cancer. More than 380 walkers and runners gathered at the Concord
Health Care Center, across from Emerson, to participate in the fundraising event.
Through the hard work of volunteers, the
Auxiliary and community members, more
than $10,000 was netted for cancer services
at Emerson.
“We were so pleased with the record
turnout for the Run-Walk for Cancer this
year,” said Lori Noonan, manager of
cancer services. “The community and
employees really showed their support for
the cancer center and our patients. We appreciate
the many hours of hard work that
the Emerson Auxiliary and staff put into
making this a great community event.”
