Your staff made our experience a very beautiful one
I just wanted to write and let someone know what a wonderful experience I had at Emerson Hospital during the birth of my first child on 7/9/06.
My pregnancy was considered high risk, so several weeks ago I began to undergo non-stress testing twice a week to check the status of my baby. Each time I came in for my appointments I was treated by caring and competent nurses. When I went into labor on 7/8/06, I went through three shifts of nurses, Gayle, Barb, and Barb N, who were absolutely wonderful, and we could not have gotten through things without them and Dr. Travias.
I finally delievered by C-section in the morning of 7/9/06 after a long labor and when the decision was made to do the C-section, everything happened quickly and very smoothly. After our son's birth, each of the staff in the postpartum unit and nursery were there each step of the way to help and encourage us as we were adjusting to parenthood. We had a few bumps in the road with respect to breastfeeding and our son having to stay in the nursery an extra day due to jaundice, and everyone was there with so much support and compassion.
We are home now and doing well and we know it was due to the excellent care and instruction we received while we were in your hospital. Having a baby is a profound and intimate experience. Your staff made our experience a very beautiful one.
I also need to say that that the care that I received from Drs. Travias, Fleming, and Bond was exceptional. We credit Dr. Travias to the safe delivery of our little boy and a good outcome for me after a difficult labor and subsequent surgery. The pediatricians were also excellent and we are thrilled to have Dr. Glazier as our son's pediatrician.
