I tell everyone to always go to Emerson
Since the age of 10, I have suffered from migraine headaches. One day I had the worst one of my life. A freight train running through my head would have been far more tolerable. Knowning how empathetic and well trained the Emerson staff is, I insisted on being taken there. Once I arrived and explained the reason for my visit, the triage nurse immediately set me up in a quiet room with pillows, lights out and an ice pack so as not to be further disturbed by the lights and activity of the general waiting area in the e.r. That simple act meant the world to me. She didn't see my situation as just any old headache. Giving me a dark and quiet place may not seem like a big deal, but to me that day it was huge.
Such genuine concern for their patients and reassurance that no problem is too small or no big deal is the very reason I tell everyone to always go to Emerson when in need of medical attention. As long as Emerson continues their unique treatment of patients and their families, I will be gladly continue to share my experiences.
