Corporator Updates
Emerson Hospital corporators play an important role in connecting residents of our community to the hospital. Their activities range from supporting grassroots promotion of hospital services to serving as a ready source of volunteers to fit the hospital’s many needs, from governance to resource development. Below are recent corporator updates.
Greetings from Chris Schuster, President and CEO
Happy Spring! I’d like to welcome our new corporators, many of whom I met at the Emerson Health System Annual Meeting in January. I look forward to getting to know you as your orientation continues over the coming months.
I’m looking forward to two events sponsored by our Emerson Hospital Auxiliary. The spring Pops Concert will be held on Saturday, April 13, at 8:00 pm. The auxliary’s annual Run~Walk, which benefits cancer programs at Emerson, is set for Saturday, June 1. I hope to see you there!
We are already looking ahead to our 2013 Have a Heart, Have a Ball gala, scheduled for Saturday, November 2, which will raise funds to support cardiac care at Emerson—specifically, renovations on Wheeler 5, where many cardiac patients are treated.
Our Gala Planning Committee is at work identifying sponsors who will help make the event a success. My thanks to Lynda Voghel, a member of the committee, and her husband, Don, who welcomed guests to their home for an evening in February that featured Ben Tillinger, MD, one of our talented cardiologists. I hope you will join us at the gala and support this worthy cause.
Thank you for all you do to support Emerson Hospital. Don’t hesitate to call me, email me or stop by for a visit.
