CONCORD, Mass., March 20, 2012 – Paul D’Ambrosio, MD, a lifelong resident of Concord, has been named 2012 Community Clinician of the Year by his physician peers of the Middlesex Central District Medical Society.
“It’s humbling to receive this award from my colleagues, who all serve the community so well,” said Dr. D’Ambrosio. “I love being part of the Concord community. I hope I can serve it for many years to come.”
The Community Clinician of the Year Award was established in 1998 by the Massachusetts Medical Society to recognize a physician from each of the Society’s 20 district medical societies who has made significant contributions to patients and the community and who stands out as a leading advocate and caregiver. The Middlesex Central District is comprised of nearly 300 physicians who live and work in nine communities in central Middlesex County.
Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. D’Ambrosio is president of the Emerson Hospital medical staff. A graduate of Harvard College and Tufts University School of Medicine, he co-founded Concord Internal Medicine Associates.
Dr. D’Ambrosio formerly chaired the Emerson Physician-Hospital Organization. He currently serves on the board of Emerson Hospital and Partners Community HealthCare Inc.
