4/23/10: Emerson Hospital Auxiliary hosts 34th annual Pops concert
The Emerson Hospital Auxiliary hosted its 34th Annual spring Pops concert at the Walden Performing Arts Center in Concord. The evening included “Swing into Spring” pieces led by music director and conductor James O’Dell, who kicked off his second season with the Concord Band by welcoming returning jazz vocalist Amanda Carr. Carr performed several new arrangements prepared for her by music director emeritus Dr. William McManus. Also, Concord’s Chuck Honneman of the Concord Players reprised the role of recite in movements from Façade by William Walton.
Priscilla Gannon and Karen Maines were the co-chairs of the sold-out event, which had more than 80 sponsors who supported the Auxiliary by advertising in the program book.
Special thanks to underwriters Robert and Mary Kemp of Capital Growth Management and Eric and Denise Haartz of the Haartz Corporation for their continued support.
