3/27/09: Primary care physician joins Lincoln Physicians, now accepting new patients
Dr. Betty Pomerleau recently joined Lincoln Physicians, PC, as a primary care physician. Other practice physicians include Drs. Pamela DeLuca, Peter Hoenig, Charles Keevil, Marguerite Roach, and Lynn Weigel. Previously, Dr. Pomerleau practiced at Concord Internal Medicine. She has been a practicing primary care physician since 1988.
Dr. Pomerleau brings to the practice extensive experience, both as a primary care physician and as a hospitalist at Emerson Hospital. A hospitalist is a certified physician with training in internal medicine or pediatrics who specializes in hospital care from admission to discharge. In addition Dr. Pomerleau is the physician consultant for care coordination, helping manage hospital stays and working with social work staff on discharge plans for patients. She is also treasurer of Emerson Hospital’s medical executive committee.
Dr. Pomerleau earned her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Rhode Island Hospital, an affiliate of Brown University. Board-certified in internal medicine, she completed a fellowship in pulmonary medicine at Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine in New Jersey. Her clinical interests include endocrinology, geriatrics, and pulmonary medicine. Dr. Pomerleau previously held a teaching appointment at New York Medical College and currently holds a clinical teaching appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine.
