4/6/11: Emerson Hospital Auxiliary partners with local businesses
Last month, the Emerson Hospital Auxiliary partnered with two local businesses in the community—Elizabeth Grady in Acton and Sara Campbell in Concord. “These events were a win-win for us and the participating businesses,” said Anne Lehmann, president of the Emerson Auxiliary. “They generated customers for the businesses and raised funds for the Auxiliary.”
During the month of February, Elizabeth Grady offered a discount of 25% off of all gift certificates and services (facials, massages, waxing, makeup applications, microdermabrasions, and other skin treatments) purchased at the salon, and 5% of the proceeds went to the Auxiliary. This effort alone raised almost $1,700 for the hospital.
Also in February, a wine and cheese event was held at the new Sara Campbell clothing store on Main Street in Concord. This effort generated more than $3,000 in just three hours, with the Auxiliary receiving 10% of the proceeds for the hospital.
Starting in June, the Auxiliary will partner with The Mane Escape Salon and Spa in Concord. They will donate a percentage of sales from their various salon services to the Auxiliary.
