8/18/11: Keep it Simple photography displayed by Emerson Hospital Auxiliary
From August 15 through October 17, 2011, the Emerson Hospital Auxiliary will display photography by the Keep it Simple Photography Society (KISPS).
KISPS is a small group of people from Massachusetts who meet regularly to share their passion for photography and to inspire one another through photos, ideas, knowledge, and experience. The club meets once a month from September through June to share their photographs, discuss techniques, and plan outings. There is one outing planned per month, and they also get together for additional photographic events, such as the hot air balloons event in Hudson, the Westford Fair, and others. Membership in the club is by invitation and the number of members cannot exceed 12.
The gallery event at Emerson Hospital shows some of the varied interests of the club members and includes both photographs taken locally as well as on their travels. Their goal is to capture images with great light, composition, and special subject matter.
The photographers displayed at Emerson are Don Ahern, Robyn Bright, Nancy DiGiovanni, Lucinda Sears, Dave Toombs, and Grace Velardi. Robyn Bright is a professional photographer and leader of the club. She can be contacted at 978-929-9331 for further information.
The Emerson Hospital Auxiliary supports the hospital through community awareness, patient support, and fundraising activities. Anyone interested in becoming a member or learning about the Auxiliary should contact Karen McCarthy at 978-371-2133. Visitors to the hospital may purchase the photographs, and 25% of the sale price goes to the hospital.
