4/4/11: Linda Williamson art displayed by Emerson Hospital Auxiliary
From April 15 through June 15, the Emerson Hospital Auxiliary will display photographs by Linda Williamson in the main hallway of the hospital. Her experience, skill, and talent are reflected in the portfolio of her work. Her expertise is continually recognized by leaders in her craft, and is further punctuated by the growing demand for her work in all areas of landscape, portraiture, weddings, and other event photography.
Since opening her studio in Westford, her work has been requested by advertising agencies, book publishers, other acclaimed photographers, award-winning videographers, and local businesses.
Her passion for photography stems from her love of the ocean, nature, people, and life. Much of her success is derived from her ability to approach a subject from an unexpected vantage point to expose its beauty. Growing up in Concord, Mass., she was influenced at an early age by the classic New England scenery. She learned to view a scene for more than that which initially meets the eye. This approach to photography, as well as her ability to quickly put people at ease, has enabled her to capture the subject. Nothing is more rewarding to her than to be an active participant in the joining of two lives together, which explains her focus on wedding photography.
Williamson is currently the featured artist at Moodz Day Spa in Acton. In addition, her work is available in both the Emerson Hospital and Ralph Jordan’s gift shops, at her studio on Western Avenue in Lowell, at Floral Arts in Westford, Main Streets Market and Café in Concord, and other area locations. Linda’s photograph “Reflections from the Shore” graces the cover of Emerson Hospital art curator Ashley Rooney’s newest book “Shore Décor” (Schiffer 2011).
