Emerson Hospital’s cancer program is strengthened by its relationship with several highly regarded Boston hospitals. As a result of Emerson’s formal affiliation with Commonwealth Hematology-Oncology, PC, Emerson patients have access to numerous clinical research trials sponsored by the National Cancer Institute. Dana-Farber/Partners specialists, who are on staff at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), attend cancer conference meetings at Emerson in order to discuss individual patient's diagnosis and treatment plans with our Emerson Oncologists. They are often available to provide second opinions on-site.
Emerson radiation oncology physicians, who are on staff at MGH, draw on the resources there when their patients at Emerson need additional resources, such as specialized treatment or technology.
