Mammography
The Breast Health Center in Concord and mammography services in Westford bring together advanced technology and a highly trained staff in facilities designed for comfort, convenience and privacy.
Our 100 percent digital imaging is augmented when necessary by ultrasound, breast MRI and other imaging modalities. Diagnosis of most breast problems can be made with stereotactic or ultrasound-guided needle biopsy – an accurate and less invasive method which is available at the Center in Concord.
Two experienced radiologists read every mammogram, a practice that has been shown to increase detection rates for breast abnormalities. In addition, computer-aided detection allows the equipment’s software to perform it’s own read, providing another degree of added confidence.
Our experienced staff provide personal attention, technical expertise and conscientious follow-through during and after your examination. Your questions and concerns are welcome and are always addressed candidly, respectfully and attentively by our staff.
At the Center in Concord, you will also find a library and reading room with free brochures about breast health, prevention, benign breast disease, and breast cancer detection and treatment. Computer access to the Internet is also available as well as selected DVDs on breast care and women’s health.
