During Your Stay

Finding Your Way Around the Hospital

The main entrance near the parking garage is on the 2nd floor, which is at ground level when you enter the building. The Cafeteria and Gift Shop are on this level. Patient units are located on the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th floors of the hospital. On level 3, a central corridor connects the three wings (Wheeler, West and North) to the John Cuming Building. The café, medical records, and administrative offices are also located on level 3. Elevators are located in the North and Wheeler wings.

Meals

The hospital offers appetizing, nutritious meals through same day ordering, or room service. Your meal can be ordered by following the instructions on the menu which is located at your bedside. If you are on a special diet, the order form will indicate only the varieties of foods you are allowed. You may request that a clinical dietitian explain your diet to you.

Telephone

Local calls are available to patients free of charge. To make outside calls from your bedside, dial 9 + 1 + area code + number. All out-of-state calls must be placed through the hospital operator. You will be responsible for the cost of long distance calls.
