Inpatient Detoxification
Emerson Hospital provides medical management of withdrawal symptoms (“detox”) for patients with a dependence on alcohol, opiates, or other physically dependent substances. Patients who may require detoxification are evaluated in Emerson Hospital’s Emergency Department where they receive a comprehensive medical screening as well as an evaluation by an Emergency Services clinician. The clinician will review treatment options and arrange for inpatient admission or other follow up as indicated.
