You and your baby will benefit from the special skills and training of the Birthing Center newborn nursery nursing staff and the expertise of a board certified lactation consultant on the Emerson staff. The lactation consultant is also available for outpatient visits after you and your baby have been discharged.
The Emerson Breastfeeding service offers expert answers to your questions such as:
- How to tell if your baby is getting enough
- Hunger cues
- Feeding frequency
- Breast soreness
- Positioning
- Pumping
- Mother's diet, and more.
Breastfeeding services are available to everyone. Some insurance plans cover lactation consultant visits. Check your plan for specific coverage information.
