Emerson Hospital Main Street Gallery Features Photography by Anne-Milda Pu

Emerson Hospital’s Main Street Gallery, located in the main hallway of the hospital, now features the engaging photographs of Anne-Milda Pu, a photographer from Winchester, Massachusetts, and the daughter of Dr. Inger-Marie Pu, a pediatric hospitalist at Emerson.  Anne-Milda’s photographs feature farms and nature, including close up images of animals and scenes from her walks in the woods. The exhibit is open through October 25, 2015.

"I remember coming to Emerson several times as a child to visit my mom at work,” says Anne-Milda. “We would walk down the pediatric floor where she would introduce me to her colleagues, show me the playroom, and even let me peek at the babies in the nursery. Now, when I hear 'Emerson Hospital’ my mind instantly pictures the pediatric floor. I think children, and what do children love? Animals! Animals are funny in that they are always able to make me smile, so I thought maybe if they help me smile, they can help other people smile, too."

Some of the photographs are from Anne-Milda’s summer travels in Norway, while others are from Wright-Locke Farm in Winchester.  Anne-Milda is a sophomore at Gordon College studying chemistry and secondary education. In her spare time she volunteers at Wright-Locke Farm.

The Emerson Hospital Auxiliary presents the Main Street Gallery featuring  rotating exhibits by local artists and photographers throughout the year.
