Auxiliary of Emerson Hospital to Host Educational Program on Skin Health

3/10/2016

On Thursday, April 7, the Auxiliary of Emerson Hospital will present an informative educational program, Skin Sense – Unlocking the Secrets to Graceful Aging and Skin Cancer Prevention, featuring physicians from Dermatology Associates of Concord.  The event is from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at The Thoreau Club Center in Concord.  The evening will begin with a reception featuring complimentary refreshments and beverages.

Drs. Cheryl Gray and Lauren Alberta-Wszolek will speak on topics ranging from graceful aging techniques to the importance of sun protection and methods of preventing skin cancer.  Dr. Eileen Deignan, also of Dermatology Associates, will moderate the program.  Dr. Alberta-Wszolek says that, “There are so many options for treating aging or sun-damaged skin.  Sometimes it is difficult to determine what is truly effective.  Some issues can be helped with topical treatment such as creams, whereas other issues require more aggressive treatments with lasers or injections.” Dr. Deignan is pleased that Dermatology Associates has been an integral part of the Emerson Hospital Community for more than 40 years and is especially pleased to partner with the Auxiliary to teach the community about skin health.

The public is invited to attend this educational event and registration is free.  Bring a friend and join us for the opportunity to learn about skin treatments and to ask the doctors your questions!  For more information and to register, email EmersonAuxiliary@gmail.com or telephone Christine Kielar at (978) 287-8765.

The Auxiliary wishes to thank the generous sponsors of this event:  The Thoreau Club and Wingate Healthcare at Sudbury.
