Emerson Hospital’s Main Street Gallery Features Photography by Bonnie McGrath

3/30/2016

Emerson Hospital’s Main Street Gallery is featuring the work of photographer Bonnie McGrath of Acton through May 14.  Bonnie’s exhibit features macro floral photos, extreme close-ups of peonies, roses, and lilies, reminiscent of Georgia O'Keefe.

Bonnie started photography when she was eight-years old, developing her own black and white photographs in the basement of her parents’ home in Acton.  She graduated from the Mass College of Art and Design and studied photography over many years.  The Auxiliary of Emerson Hospital’s Art Curator, Barbara Morse, says, “Bonnie’s exhibit at Emerson brings the beauty of flowers to life, right in front of you.”

The Auxiliary presents the Main Street Gallery which features rotating exhibits by local artists and photographers throughout the year. Each image is for sale with proceeds supporting Emerson’s patient programs and services.  The Gallery is located at Emerson Hospital in the main hallway off of the main lobby and is open to the public for viewing at any time. If you are interested in purchasing an image, please visit the Community Services office at Emerson Hospital, located across the hall from the Gallery, or email EmersonAuxiliary@gmail.com
