Silkscreen Prints by Anne Silber Now on Display at Emerson Medical at Sudbury

9/12/2017

As part of its focus on providing high-quality healthcare to the community, which includes creative arts to inspire wellness, Emerson Medical at Sudbury is continuing its Art Exhibit series. The latest exhibit features imaginative hand-crafted serigraphs, or silkscreen prints, by the inventive artist Anne Silber of Boston. The exhibit is on display through January 7, 2018 on multiple levels of Emerson’s medical office building located at 490 Boston Post Road, Route 20 in Chiswick Park, Sudbury.

To create her serigraphs, Ms. Silber mixes ink with a transparent base, resulting in a visual “blending” of overlaid tones and an effect like that of well-controlled watercolors. While her landscapes and cityscapes are inspired by her love of foreign travel, her artwork has a prominent place on the sets of many major films and television shows, including “The Departed” and “Grey’s Anatomy.” Off-screen, her pieces can be found in corporate and museum collections across the U.S. and Europe.

The exhibit was curated by Jennifer Hart, artist and gallery instructor with the Museum of Fine Arts – Boston, and a resident of Carlisle. Ir is free and open to the public Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Serigraphs are displayed throughout the lobby and the second floor of the medical office building. All works are for sale. Inquires may be directed to the artist, Ms. Silber’s contact information is available at the exhibit.
