For the safety of our patients and staff and to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Center for Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine at Emerson Hospital has made adjustments to our scheduling and hours of operation, and has enhanced our cleaning protocols. All staff are screened daily for COVID-19 symptoms. Patients are screened 24 hours prior to their appointment during a reminder call and again by phone upon arrival to the parking lot. Patients then come into the clinic where they are asked to sanitize their hands and given a fresh mask.
If you have a wound that has not started to heal in two weeks, or is not completely healed in six weeks, you may be a candidate for specialized wound care treatment.

What to expect at the Center for Advanced Wound Care and hyperbaric medicine
When you arrive, you will meet with a clinical staff member for a consultation. This includes a physical examination and medical history evaluation. This diagnostic assessment helps us identify the type of wound you have and its underlying causes.
After the diagnostic exam, our team will work with you to establish a personalized treatment plan, and will provide progress reports to your primary care doctor.
Most wound care treatments are covered by Medicare/Medicaid, HMOs and other private insurance.
