Millions of people have lung disease, which can make it difficult to breathe. To help with treatment, the Better Breathers Club at Emerson Hospital, a support and information group for people with lung disease and their family and friends, is continuing its monthly lecture series. The next session will take place on Thursday, May 21 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Anthony Bohnert, MD, Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Medicine at Emerson Hospital, will provide information about when to call your pulmonologist. The lecture will be held at the Emerson Hospital Cheney B conference room, located near the main lobby of the hospital at 133 Old Road to Nine Acre Corner in Concord. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
The Better Breathers Club is open to anyone who is living with lung disease and their family and friends. This is the final session of the season; additional lectures will begin again in September on the third Thursday of the month from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Emerson Hospital. There is no cost to participate and refreshments are provided. Many patients participate in the Better Breathers Club to help cope with lung disease.
