Emerson Hospital Offers Exercise Program for Those with Arthritis

1/13/2015

According to the Centers for Disease Control, physical exercise is critical for those living with arthritis. Regular exercise has been proven to help those with arthritis reduce pain and improve mobility, mood and quality of life.

This winter, Ryan Stoddard, PT, DPT, is leading a gentle, therapeutic exercise program designed for arthritis patients to increase their flexibility and muscle strength. The four-week program meets on Tuesdays, 12:30-1:30 pm, beginning February 3, at the Emerson Hospital Health & Wellness Center located at 310 Baker Ave. in Concord. Additional sessions start March 10 and April 7.

For more information about these and many other wellness classes taking place this winter at Emerson’s Integrative Health & Wellness Center, visit www.emersonhealthyliving.org or call 978-287-3777.
