Every year the seasonal flu makes millions of people across the country sick, some seriously. Seniors are particularly susceptible to catching the virus. As part of its mission to keep people healthy this flu season, Emerson Hospital Home Care and the Carlisle Board of Health and Council on Aging will hold a flu and pneumonia immunization clinic on Friday, October 9 from 10:00 a.m. – noon at the Carlisle Town Hall, 66 Westford Street in Carlisle.
Participants must be residents of Carlisle and age 65 years or older. No appointment is needed, please bring your health insurance cards to the clinic. Costs will be covered by the Carlisle Board of Health for anyone without insurance coverage.
Vaccinations during the clinic are reported to the Massachusetts Immunization Information System as now required by law. This system keeps track of all vaccination records for the state and is managed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
For more information, please contact the Carlisle Board of Health at 978-369-0283.
