For those who are looking to get in shape while having fun, Emerson Hospital is offering Nia®, a unique fitness class designed to positively shape the way you feel, look, think, and live. Nia is a cardio fitness program that incorporates martial arts and dance. The program practices mindfulness, holistic fitness and well-being. Many participants lose weight, strengthen muscles, and improve muscle tone.
Instructor Suzanne Liebich is trained in Dance for PD® and is certified in therapeutic dance. The class will meet at the Emerson Hospital Integrative Health & Wellness Center Located at 310 Baker Avenue in Concord. Free parking is available in the office park. The seven-week session meets on Thursdays from 4:00-5:00 pm beginning February 5. An upcoming session begins on April 2. Both sessions have a drop-in option.
