Better Breathers Lecture on Lung Disease – November 16

10/25/2017

Millions of people have lung disease, which can make it difficult to breathe. To help with treatment, the Better Breathers Club at Emerson Hospital, a support and information group for people with lung disease and their family and friends, is continuing its 2017-2018 lecture series. The next session will take place on Thursday, November 16 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Concord police detective Scott Camilleri will discuss the roles of local police, fire and ambulance departments and the services they provide for your health and safety in case of a medical emergency. The lecture will be held at the Emerson Hospital Cheney B conference room, located near the main lobby of the hospital at 133 Old Road to Nine Acre Corner in Concord. The event is free and open to the public.

The Better Breathers Club is open to anyone who is living with lung disease and their family and friends. Through May 2018 interactive lectures take place every third Thursday of the month from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Emerson Hospital. Upcoming topics include learning what to expect while hospitalized and the benefits of good nutrition. There is no cost to participate and refreshments are provided. Many patients participate in the Better Breathers Club to help cope with lung disease.
