treatment, the Better Breathers Club at Emerson Hospital, a support and
information group for people with lung disease and their family and friends, is
continuing its monthly lecture series. The next session will take place on
Thursday, December 21st from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Andrea James, LICSW, and a member
of the multidisciplinary lung transplant team at Brigham and Women's Hospital,
will discuss the patient screening and transplant process. The lecture will be held
at the Emerson Hospital Cheney B conference room, located near the main lobby
of the hospital at 133 Old Road to Nine Acre Corner in Concord. The event is
free and open to the public.
The Better Breathers
Club is open to anyone who is living with lung disease and their family and
friends. Through May 2018 interactive lectures take place every third Thursday
of the month from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Emerson Hospital. Upcoming topics
include learning what to expect while hospitalized and the benefits of good
nutrition. There is no cost to participate and refreshments are provided. Many
