Better Breathers Lecture on Lung Disease – January 18

Learn from Dr. Rupen Amin about When to Call Your Pulmonologist


CONCORD, Mass., December 18, 2017 - Millions of people have lung disease, which can make it difficult to breathe. To help with treatment, the Better Breathers Club at Emerson Hospital, an information and support group for people with lung disease and their family and friends, is continuing its 2017-2018 lecture series. The next session will take place on Thursday, January 18th from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Dr. Rupen Amin, a critical care and pulmonary medicine physician at Emerson Hospital, will provide information about when patients should call their pulmonologist. The lecture will be held at the Emerson Hospital Cheney B conference room, located near the main lobby of the hospital at 133 Old Road to Nine Acre Corner in Concord. The event is free and open to the public.

The Better Breathers Club is open to anyone who is living with lung disease and their family and friends. Lectures will continue on the third Thursday of the month from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Emerson Hospital. Upcoming topics include the benefits of good nutrition and educational healthcare resources. There is no cost to participate and refreshments are provided. Many patients participate in the Better Breathers Club to help cope with lung disease.
