Millions of people have lung disease, which can make it difficult to breathe. To help with treatment, the Better Breathers Club at Emerson Hospital, a support and information group for people with lung disease and their family and friends, is continuing its 2018-2019 lecture series. The next session will take place on Thursday, November 15th from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
What happens if you are on oxygen to help with your lung disease and a fire breaks out? A member of the Concord Fire Department will explain oxygen use, fire safety and ways to stay safe during an emergency. The lecture will be held at the Emerson Hospital Cheney B conference room, located near the main lobby of the hospital at 133 Old Road to Nine Acre Corner in Concord. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
The Better Breathers Club is open to anyone who is living with lung disease and their family and friends. Through May 2019, interactive lectures take place every third Thursday of the month from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Emerson Hospital. There is no cost to participate. Many people participate in the Better Breathers Club to help cope with lung disease.
