Millions of people have lung disease, which can make it difficult to breathe. To help with treatment, the Better Breathers Club at Emerson Hospital, a support and information group for people with lung disease and their family and friends, is continuing its 2017-2018 lecture series. The next session will take place on Thursday, February 15 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Laura Frank, MD, emergency physician at Emerson Hospital, will provide information about what people with lung disease can expect when they need to go to the Emergency Department. The lecture will be held at the Emerson Hospital Cheney B conference room, located near the main lobby of the hospital at 133 Old Road to Nine Acre Corner in Concord. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
The Better Breathers Club is open to anyone who is living with lung disease and their family and friends. Through May 2018 interactive lectures take place every third Thursday of the month from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Emerson Hospital. Upcoming topics include the benefits of good nutrition and educational healthcare resources. There is no cost to participate and refreshments are provided. Many patients participate in the Better Breathers Club to help cope with lung disease.
