In keeping with its mission to bring advanced care directly to the community, Emerson Hospital announced today that it has opened new specialty physician offices at The Point shopping center in Littleton, co-located next to Emerson Urgent Care at 830 Constitution Avenue. The physicians include those specializing in surgical weight loss, orthopedic surgery, podiatry and spine treatments.

Dr. David Lautz
- Bariatric Surgery (Weight Loss Surgery)
, Medical Director of the Emerson Center for Weight Loss
, is a board-certified surgeon. His clinical interests include: bariatric and metabolic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, sleeve gastrectomy and revisional bariatric surgery. He has performed more than 5,000 bariatric surgical procedures and received numerous awards in recognition of his commitment to his profession and patients.
Dr. Laura Doyon
, Bariatric Surgeon with the Emerson Center for Weight Loss, is board-certified in bariatric surgery and obesity medicine. She is the first surgeon in Massachusetts to be board-certified in both specialties
. Her clinical interests include: laparoscopic surgery, weight loss surgery, sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, antireflux surgery, Nissen fundoplication, achalasia surgery, Heller myotomy, repair of hernias and gastrointestinal surgery.
