Eshita Bakshi, DO, FAAP, has been named Chairman of the Pediatrics Department of Emerson Hospital. Dr. Bakshi is a community pediatrician who has her own practice, Walden Pond Pediatrics in Concord, and will continue in this capacity during her tenure as Chair.

Bike Camp for Children with Disabilities Now Accepting Registrations Annual Camp Hosted by Emerson Hospital During Spring Vacation

Emerson Hospital’s Center for Rehabilitative and Sports Therapies is hosting its fourth annual bike camp for children and adults with disabilities during April school vacation week - April 16-20, 2018. Held in conjunction with Lawrence Academy, the camp is open to those who are at least eight years old, have a disability and are able to walk without an assistive device. Trained counselors and spotters work individually with campers to teach them how to ride a conventional bike.

Better Breathers Lecture on Lung Disease – February 15 Learn What to Expect During an Emergency Visit

Millions of people have lung disease, which can make it difficult to breathe. To help with treatment, the Better Breathers Club at Emerson Hospital, a support and information group for people with lung disease and their family and friends, is continuing its 2017-2018 lecture series. The next session will take place on Thursday, February 15 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
