Community is so important, now more than ever. It can be helpful to stay connected with friends, family, and the people who understand us. Aphasia can make that extra challenging in times like these. That is why Emerson is conducting an online aphasia conversation group.

This online group provides an opportunity for people with aphasia to work on their communication skills in a fun and supportive environment. Join us for a series of meetings with special topics, including music and the arts, technology, community service, and more. Sessions are highly interactive and facilitated by a speech-language pathologist.

What Is Aphasia?

Learn more about aphasia and how it affects the brain in this article from The Boston Globe, with insight from Emerson therapists.

Listen to an Emerson speech therapist address common misconceptions about aphasia and explain causes, common symptoms, and how speech therapy helps patients communicate more effectively.
