Ms. McManus graduated from Simmons College in Boston and holds a doctorate in physical therapy. She has experience with pediatric and orthopedic therapy. Prior to working at Emerson Hospital, Ms. McManus had clinical experience at the Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children in Canton, Mass., where she worked with children with cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and muscular dystrophy. Her interest in patients with muscular dystrophy extends to volunteering at summer camps through the Muscular Dystrophy Association. She also has experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting with special interests in treating post-surgical and orthopedic injuries. She enjoys working with athletes of all ages, and outside of the clinic she works as a youth and high school girls lacrosse coach.
