Ms. Mello graduated from the Boston School of Occupational Therapy at Tufts University and specializes in pediatric occupational therapy. Ms. Mello received her undergraduate degree in psychology and minor in cognitive science at Trinity College. Prior to joining Emerson, she worked in several school-based programs with a wide range of diagnoses. Ms. Mello completed her fieldwork in an elementary school with a behavioral and emotional support program and in a pediatric outpatient center providing services to children from birth to 21 years of age. In the fall of 2015, Ms. Mello presented “Look aHEAD: Occupational Therapy’s Role in Concussion Management” with a colleague to the Massachusetts Association of Occupational Therapy. In addition to working at Emerson, Ms. Mello currently works per diem in a pediatric inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Ms. Mello is also involved in the pediatric rehabilitation program at Emerson.
