Clinical Interests
Modified barium swallow studies, voice therapy and dysphagia management particularly related to neurological disorders and head and neck cancer
Ms. Walsh is a certified LSVT provider, a SPEAK OUT! provider, and is trained in videostroboscopy and fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES). She has published two research studies: “Double-blind study on the effects of topical anesthesia on laryngeal secretions” (J Voice. 2006) and “Diaphragm training in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis” (J Clin Neuromuscul Dis. 2008). Ms. Walsh works in both acute care and outpatient settings with a focus on voice disorders and dysphagia and is currently studying the Estill Voice Method. She is trained in oncology rehabilitation and serves on our Cancer Care team and Neurological Care team. She is an active participant in Boston Area Dysphagia Grand Rounds.
