Upper extremity rehabilitation for clients of all ages with acute orthopedic injuries as well as cumulative trauma and neuromuscular challenges. Ms. Fors enjoys custom orthotic fabrication for postoperative protection and to support and enhance functional activities. She also enjoys employee-led process improvement projects that enhance the patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Ms. Fors holds a bachelor’s degree from Quinnipiac University in occupational therapy. She earned her hand therapy certification in 2000 and joined the Emerson team in 2018. Prior to Emerson, she worked in outpatient hand therapy settings at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles and at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. She held positions in clinical leadership and management and participated in published research projects. Ms. Fors was trained in and participated in process improvement and employee engagement activates. Prior to her hand specialty positions, she has experience in the acute care setting on orthopedic, transplant and medical specialty units and has extensive experience in the subacute setting on short term rehabilitation units.
