Experience
Ms. Mistry received her doctorate of physical therapy from Northwestern University and her bachelor’s degree in exercise sports science from Elon University. Ms. Mistry is an APTA board-certified neurological specialist since 2014. Ms. Mistry specializes in rehabilitation for Parkinson’s disease with certifications in LSVT BIG and Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery (PWR!), both of which are evidence-based treatment approaches for Parkinson’s disease. She is a Rock Steady Boxing coach and has completed the Parkinson’s Foundation Team in Training program. Ms. Mistry’s clinical interest include neurological, concussion, geriatric, and vestibular rehabilitation. Prior to working at Emerson, she worked in inpatient, homecare, and outpatient rehabilitation with her primary focus in stroke, brain injury, and Parkinson’s disease. Ms. Mistry is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the neurology section. Ms. Mistry enjoys working with individuals to bring more functional movement into their day and using exercise as medicine.
