As part of its focus on providing high-quality healthcare to the community, which includes creative arts to inspire wellness, Emerson Medical at Sudbury is continuing its Art Exhibit series. The latest exhibit features colorful screen prints and cut paper collage by Jean Carter, a Concord resident and artist. As a printmaker, Carter is known for her use of simple, geometric images created in a distinctly graphic style. The exhibit is on display through April 18, 2019 on multiple levels of Emerson’s medical office building located at 490 Boston Post Road, Route 20 in Chiswick Park, Sudbury.
In addition to her career as an artist, Ms. Carter has a long history with Concord Art (Concord Center for the Visual Arts) as a volunteer, teacher, student, exhibitor and member of the Board of Directors. Her works have been shown in galleries throughout the greater Boston area. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania and has made and taught art for most of her adult life.
The exhibit was curated by Jennifer Hart, artist and Carlisle resident. The exhibit is free and open to the public Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. All works are for sale. Inquires about purchase may be directed to the artist, Ms. Carter’s contact information is available at the exhibit.
