If you have parking questions, please contact the garage office at 978-287-3009 or visit the office, which is located on the first floor of the garage.

Paying for parking

Please pay for your parking before returning to your car. Payment kiosks are located in the hospital’s main entrance, parking garage elevator entrance, and emergency department entrance, as well as in the Medical Office Building and Clough Surgical & Birthing Center lobbies.

The payment kiosks accept cash, credit and debit cards (please note, however, that cash is not accepted in the Medical Office Building or Clough Surgical kiosks). Payment may also be made with a credit or debit card at the exit gates. There are no attendants at the exit gates.

Valet Parking

Valet service is available to guests visiting the Medical Office Building. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., and the cost is $10 per vehicle.

To access valet services, guests should enter the semicircle in front of the building. If a guest expects an appointment to end after 5 p.m., they should inform the valet driver upon arrival for planning purposes. Drivers do not expect guests to tip them for this service.

Dropping off and picking up patients

  • If you are dropping off a patient for day surgery, there is a dedicated entrance in the Clough Surgical Center lot, which is across from the parking garage.
  • If you are dropping off a patient for another test in the hospital, you may do so at the main entrance.
  • If a patient is going to the Medical Office Building, there is a separate drop-off area directly outside the Medical Office Building entrance.
  • If you are picking up a patient, the first 30 minutes of parking in the garage or patient lot is free.

Finding your way around

The main entrance near the parking garage is considered the hospital’s second floor, which is actually at street level when you enter the building. The North Bridge Café and gift shop are on this level.

Patient units are located on the third, fourth, fifth and sixth floors of the hospital.

On level three, a central corridor connects the three wings (Wheeler, West and North) to the Medical Office Building. Medical records and administrative offices are also located on level three. Elevators are located in the North and Wheeler wings.

For your convenience, you can download a hospital campus map or just ask one of the many volunteers or employees if you need help finding a department while you are at the hospital.

Tobacco-free policy

When you visit, please know that Emerson Hospital is a completely smoke- and tobacco-free campus. This policy prohibits tobacco use — including chewing tobacco — in all areas of the campus, including inside vehicles parked on Emerson property. By going tobacco-free, we are signaling our belief in the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
