The LOUD Crowd is a group for people with Parkinson’s disease to practice and maintain their communication skills in a group setting. This is a partially grant-funded program supported by the Massachusetts chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Assocation (MA-APDA).

People interested in joining the group must first receive individualized speech therapy following the SPEAK OUT! protocol (developed by Parkinson's Voice Project) in order to be familiar with the techniques and tasks utilized in The LOUD Crowd.

In addition to drill work, we also do Parkinson's-related education, have conversations with each other using intentional voice techniques, and provide feedback and support for Parkinson’s-related challenges that group members are experiencing.

All sessions are online via Zoom and held on Thursdays. The instructor will contact you with your specific time. Please direct any questions to Courtney Robinson at corobinson@emersonhosp.org.
