  • Dance for PD: Medicine for the Body, the Brain and the Heart
In this presentation, certified Dance for PD instructor Susanne Liebich will break down the components of a Dance for PD class and how each component is crafted in an artistic and thoughtful way to address the major symptoms of PD. You will learn:
    • Physically, how exercises enhance flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness
    • Mentally, how Dance for PD exercises improve brain health through sequencing, focus and rhythm
    • Emotionally, how expression through movement and music can enhance mood
    • Spiritually, how being part of a supportive community can increase “feel good” chemicals in the brain such as dopamine
The presentation will consist of part lecture, part demo-class, and end with a brief slideshow of images of Dance for PD programs.
