Telehealth See More

In an effort to practice social distancing during the COVID-19 crisis, many of our physicians and Emerson services are offering telehealth appointments as an option for patients to speak with a clinician about their health concerns from the comfort of their own home.

During these virtual appointments, every effort will be made for you to talk with your personal physician or one of their partners if your physician is temporarily unavailable given COVID-19 responsibilities. If the physician determines that an in-person evaluation is necessary, a follow-up appointment will be scheduled. This may happen on same day or at your convenience based on medical necessity.

HOW WILL THE VISIT TAKE PLACE?

The visit will take place in the manner that you are most comfortable. Most physicians prefer to utilize a video component, but there is also flexibility to conduct a call by phone only. When you call to schedule your telehealth appointment, you will be asked about your preference and then given instructions on how to connect with your doctor.

DOES MY INSURANCE COVER THE VIRTUAL VISIT?

Yes, your insurance will cover the visit subject to your plan’s co-payments, coinsurance, and deductibles.
