Christine Gallery Promoted to Senior Vice President, Planning and Chief Strategy Officer

Emerson Hospital announced today that it has promoted Christine Gallery to Senior Vice President, Planning and Chief Strategy Officer, effective immediately. In addition, the Society for Healthcare Market and Strategy Development (SHSMD) of the American Hospital Association named Ms. Gallery 2015 Board President of the organization, which is the country's largest resource for healthcare strategists, marketers and communications professionals.

Previously Vice President of Planning and Market Development at Emerson, in this role, Ms. Gallery is responsible for developing programs that ensure the growth of Emerson's services as well as leading the organization's strategic planning and business development efforts. She oversees the health system's marketing, physician recruitment, community services and health and wellness center.

Ms. Gallery has held senior positions at Emerson since 1996. During her tenure, she has been instrumental in establishing clinical affiliations and expanding Emerson's services with leading healthcare organizations including Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Tufts Medical Center and Lahey Hospital and Medical Center.

As Board President of SHSMD, Ms. Gallery is responsible for leading the organization's growth and expanding its programs to serve strategic marketing professionals at healthcare organizations around the country.

A long-time resident of Canton, Massachusetts, Ms. Gallery received a bachelor of arts in political science from the College of the Holy Cross and a J.D. cum laude from Suffolk University Law School. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar. In 2012 The New England Society for Healthcare Strategy named her Strategist of the Year.
