Emerson Hospital Offers Movement Class for Those Recovering from a Serious Illness

1/30/2015

According to the Centers for Disease Control, regular physical activity is tied to your mental health and mood. Recovering from a serious illness is both physically and emotionally draining. This winter, Emerson Hospital is offering Road to Recovery, a program that address the needs of the healing body by using gentle, mindful movements and soulful music to improve fitness and provide emotional benefits.

Instructor Suzanne Liebich is trained in Dance for PD®, certified in therapeutic dance, and has taught private movement sessions to individuals with MS. The class will meet at the Emerson Hospital Integrative Health & Wellness Center Located at 310 Baker Avenue in Concord. Free parking is available in the office park. The seven-week session meets on Thursdays from 2:30-3:30 pm beginning February 5. An upcoming session begins on April 2. Both sessions have a drop-in option.
