Tai Chi for Beginners Classes this Spring at The Emerson Center for Mind and Body

3/31/2016

For those looking for a great workout that will improve both mental and physical health, The Emerson Wellness Center for Mind and Body is offering new Tai Chi for Beginners classes this spring. Tai Chi is known to relieve aches and pains in muscles and joints, and to improve posture and mobility. It is a gentle, low-impact exercise for any age or fitness level.

Nonny Levy, a Tai Chi practitioner and licensed clinical social worker, will teach the class. She enjoys the process of sharing Tai Chi with others and experiencing together the many benefits of Tai Chi for body, mind and spirit. “The simple, flowing movements of Tai Chi improve our balance, strength and flexibility. From the very first class, our goal is to relieve stress and to improve our physical and emotional wellbeing," says Nonna Levy.

Tai Chi for Beginners takes place on Wednesdays from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.  The cost is $112 for eight weeks. A drop-in option is also available. The classes meet every Wednesday at The Emerson Wellness Center for Mind and Body, located at 310 Baker Avenue in Concord.  Free parking is available in the Concord Meadows office park.
