If you or a loved one is looking for a class that will improve both mental and physical health, the Steinberg Wellness Center for Mind and Body at Emerson Hospital is offering a Strength, Balance and Conditioning for Seniors class this January.
This class will focus on conditioning the core and balance by learning how to move the body in a healthy way to strengthen, avoid injury and reinforce proper movement. It combines yoga, pilates, martial arts and breath work to achieve overall health and wellness and improve mobility.
The class will meet on Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., starting January 9. Additional sessions start on February 13 and March 20. The cost is $90 for a five-week session or $20 per class as a drop-in option. The instructor is Susanne Liebich who has been a dance and movement instructor for more than twenty years. The classes will meet at the Steinberg Wellness Center, located at 310 Baker Avenue in Concord. Free parking is available in the office park.
